BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Philadelphia but left at 10 months old to travel to Korea. I think that this influenced the nature of much of my life. Because the early years of my life were spent in Korea and Japan, countries that value pottery and the potters, I have always been aware of and studying pottery throughout my travels. Perhaps this first trip even foretold my eventual career. I studied ceramics formally with Bill Daley and Petras Vaskeys at the Philadelphia College of Art, graduating in 1970. Following graduation, I became a production potter for 15 years, taught at several colleges & art centers and, became an arts administrator at The Clay Studio. Retirement has brought me full circle and I’m a full time potter again.
