Caring for your pottery

Porcelain pottery is both hard and fragile and needs care in use and maintenance. None of my pieces should be placed in the oven or on a stove-top burner. They may be used in the microwave, for short periods of time. Dishes, bowls, vases and mugs may be washed in the dishwasher but this is not recommended for teapots, which should be washed by hand.

All teapots have been checked for cracks and boiling water usage before being sold. When using teapots, care must be taken to preheat the pot before adding boiling water. This is easy to do by filling the teapot with very hot water from your sink faucet and letting the pot stand and absorb this heat. When you are ready, empty the hot water and add the boiling water, steep your tea and enjoy.
